The Attic Music Shop began in 1981. In an old abandoned store front in downtown Bowling Green, KY. My best friend Lou and I, had both just recieved our business degrees from WKU, but the job market at that time was pretty slim. We began by selling used albums and memorabilia from our high school days and college days. We also had some connections to get concert tickets at cost from some Nashville Music row promoters. It started slowly, but soon we were the headquarters for the downtown counter-culture scene in the 80's. We both kept the shop going out of the need to stay connected to the university and the new students that came in here as they went through school. We help them when we can, with advice, directions, or just understanding. We just can not seem to get enought of Bowling Green.
